Looks like JC is benched after 6 QTR's...
Do we still get the 4th round draft pick in 2012?
Or was it conditional?
Anyone know?

Lol at the idea of a 2012 4th round pick being conditional. Might as well have released him at that point. Anyway it looks like this is the beginning of the end when it comes to JC, starting NFL QB. From here on out he'll either be a nice backup or a UFL QB.

Bruce Gradkowski's superior pocket presence is more valuable than Campbell's superior bodily attributes.

Poor Al Davis. He always gets let down by the big armed QB of his dreams (see JaMarcus and JC) and not only that, but it's always the guy with the popgun arm that saves the day (see Gannon and Gradowski).

I was considered crazy on here when I said Grads was better than Campbell way back when, even after I further qualified the claim by saying "only slightly better".

I've had that feeling in the back of my head since we traded him, but whenever I thought about it I always came to the conclusion that the Raiders were better off with Campbell. Especially after all those glowing reviews were written about him during training camp.

I was sure the Redskins would be better with Campbell as a Raider.

Just talked to my boy that's a big raiders fan & watched the game. He said that Campbell's stats weren't bad, something like 8-13, but he just couldn't get the offense going.

I said welcome to the JC experience! His stats are rarely "bad" & he doesn't throw picks, but for having such a strong arm you rarely get to see him use it cause he checks down so much. He's even slow in doing that.

I was and still am a fan of his, but I think T. Boswell's article in today's wash post about says it all; we haven't seen a qb performance like McNabb had yesterday in years in DC, definitely not from JC. Even his biggest game v. NO last year was marred by a late int.

He's good enough to always have a job & he might find success at some point, but Gradkowski has playmaking ability & the raiders need their qb to do a lot of improvising. That's never been JC's strength.
