Love the title! It's about time we call it what it is.

I was listening to the radio up in DC back in May ( it was the ESPN radio staion on FM ), and the talk show hosts asked a poll question as to whether the JC lead Raiders would have a better record then the Mcnabb lead Skins, and I would say at least 70-75% of the callers said the Raiders. All Skins fans, I was pretty shocked at how stupid people sounded and even astounded that some many callers really believed it. They absolutley were convincted of thier opinion.I'd put my money on the Redskins because the Raiders generally don't have a clue, but:

We're 1-1.
They're 1-1.
They have the easier remaining schedule, by far.

That's a really good point. I'm one of those that was attached to him because Gibbs drafted him, he was the qb of the future & he is a likable media figure, though not dynamic in the least. I'd also watched him beat my Hokies in the sugar bowl in 04-5 & thought he was pretty composed as a leader.

Now as you said, he's got to start over, but the catch is that they expected him to be a starter from day 1 & play like their qb of the future. Well, either the future has been delayed or Gradkowski is their future.Yeah, what's clear about Oakland now is that they didn't really go into the season with a strong philosophy on how they would throw the football, they went in just kind of figuring that subtracting Russell and adding Campbell and Hue Jackson would just fix whatever was wrong. And rather than start building that philosophy now a little late, they're just going to plug Gradkowski in for Campbell and hope that fixes things.

A spoiler: it won't.

They should still be good for 6 or 7 wins no matter who is at quarterback, and if anything, their offense is going to be better than I predicted because their philosophy of just adding talent and hoping for the best actually worked in the case of Darren McFadden. But even with a two-headed monster RB duo and a running game, they still won't break .500 because they can't protect the passer.

I still do not believe the Raiders will have as good a record as us. We are going to turn this thing up! Ha...... Screw the Raiders...
