Leinart, Beck, + a UDFA

Ugh...we would not be helping a fantasy draft in any way.
:doh:Snyder has been accused of "building a fantasy football team" in the past, but being honest, those teams wouldn't have won any fantasy league I ever played in.

outside of carolina this might be the worst qb situation in the league. the team isn't going to be good anyway but i wonder if snyder is going to be patient when this blows up in the shanahans faces.Million dollar question. The one that isn't being asked, for some reason.

I'm only 26, but I really only remember two really good Redskins Teams that Snyder put together.

The first team i can think of is when we went to the playoffs in 1999, and the next year was 2005.

One thing I think those two teams had was good QB play that kind of made the whole team play better. I still say Brunell would have had another good year or 2 here if Gibbs had kept the same offense and forgot about bringing in Saunders.

Beck might play good. But it's hard to tell. It seems to me that this is a team that may be lucky to win 7 or 8 games this year. I just hope we see something that tells us we are close to being contenders. Like the Lions last year. I know they had a poor record, but you can look at that team and tell that it is very close to being successful.

Snyder didn't have anything to do with the 99 team, he took over too late to have an impact. 2000 was his first real season as owner and that's when he went crazy bringing in free agents.

And in 2005 Gibbs was calling the shots.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Sexy Rexy is probably our best bet right now.

My first instinct is to say we are obviuosly ffff'd at QB.

My second instinct is to say who gives a crap. We have had a clown shoes rotation of medicore QB's for a generation and a half. That hasn't really gotten in the way of Redskins glory has it?

Yeah. Back to the ffff'd at QB we have no chance at all mind frame.

I don't understand why everyone is up in arms about this while the lockout is still happening. I'm sure I've said this before, but Beck was the only QB under contract that is not going anywhere during the lockout. We all know McNabb is gone, and Grossman was a free agent. Beyond that, what was MS supposed to say? I'm sure once the lockout is over there will probably be some movement, we may bring a FA and sign Grossman, and it will likely be a competition. Until then, I see no reason to get all worked up over the QB situation, since technically until the CBA is agreed upon, nothing can be done. Shanny doesn't seem to let much slip to the media, and this QB situation is a good example of it.

Yeah, think about it, with the exception of Brad Johnson in '99, Gus Frerotte probably was the closest thing we had to anything coming close to a franchise QB. He had probably the most solid Wr corp also. Firing Norv was a dumb move by Snyder, in that he did it while they still had a playoff shot.
