Not sure, think it might be the Vikings that make the trade mredskins 02-21-2012, 11:31 AM I like RGIII, but the Colts would be insane to pass over Luck. I just don't see it happening unless someone knocks their socks off with a trade offer. The Colts picked Edge over Ricky Williams, that was a big bomb back then and that was in the age of when RB's were gods. redskin29633 02-21-2012, 11:49 AM I agree. Based off of what I said above though. I also feel Luck would be better in our system then RGIII. I love the idea of RGIII and his mobility but I don't see our coaching staff changing our system to RGIII's abilities. Basically we would be sitting back as fans screaming for him to run the whole time we are watching him getting sacked. <- just my feeling. Our coaching staff I think would prefer a pocket passer who will go through all his progressions and can feel the pressure and step aside to elude it. Why I think Beck was sitting in the pocket more then Grossman and hardly ran for first downs himself. I seem to recall Shanahan running a system in Denver that would match RGIII's skills very well. I think our coaches could find a way to adjust if Redskins do wind up with Griffin! skinsfaninok 02-21-2012, 12:03 PM Mike Sherman thinks Ryan Tannehill’s a winner – Miami Dolphins – Sun-Sentinel (http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_football_dolphins/2012/02/mike-sherman-thinks-ryan-tannehills-a-winner.html) skinsfaninok 02-21-2012, 12:05 PM Redskins “have a game plan” at quarterback, which Haslett may have let out of the bag | ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/02/21/redskins-have-a-game-plan-at-quarterback-which-haslett-may-have-let-out-of-the-bag/) EARTHQUAKE2689 02-21-2012, 12:14 PM That's what I'm thinking and hoping for, idk ill buy u a skins shirt or something lol Make it a Redskins football and it's a deal. skinsfaninok 02-21-2012, 01:13 PM Make it a Redskins football and it's a deal. Sounds good SBXVII 02-21-2012, 01:26 PM So you think Luck is just a pocket passer? Yes. simply put. Compared to RGIII, Luck is more of a pocket passer I think. I know you'll throw out the yrds he had in college but I'd still say he tends to stay in the pocket more and go through his progressions more so then RGIII. Andrew Luck Stats, News, Videos, Pictures, Bio - Stanford Cardinal - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/college-football/player/_/id/380470/andrew-luck) In most of his games he had anywhere from 1-3 run attempts. Robert Griffin III Stats, News, Videos, Pictures, Bio - Baylor Bears - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/college-football/player/_/id/378497/robert-griffin-iii) Robert had anywhere from 6 to 26 run attempts per game. SBXVII 02-21-2012, 01:29 PM You and I are not thinking of the same teams for PM. I'm looking for a solid team that has a good but not great QB to make a bold, risky move to go for the Super Bowl in the 2012 season. I'm not saying that the team that signs him will be making a wise choice, but more of a desperate choice. For example, the Jets. They were a huge disappointment this past season. They have a QB who may not be good enough to back up the bravado of their big-mouth coach. PM might give them a chance to go to a SB. Another example is the Ravens. If Ray Lewis and Ed Reed come back for one last hurrah, they'll do it to win a Super Bowl. In Baltimore, what Ray Lewis wants, Ray Lewis gets. Is PM the final ingredient for the Ravens to win another SB? I think he could be. PM to Baltimore is not out of the question IMO. I forgot about the Jets. Your right. Ravens I really don't see why they should. But you bring up a good point with Lewis. SBXVII 02-21-2012, 01:30 PM I like RGIII, but the Colts would be insane to pass over Luck. I just don't see it happening unless someone knocks their socks off with a trade offer. The same was said about Locker and the Panthers took Newton. |
