How does this relate to Matt Flynn in 2012? Flynn, at 6-foot-2, does not possess prototypical size. He has above-average arm strength, nothing more. There are power throws he will struggle to make, like deep digs at 18-22 yards, or deep comebacks. In fact, these are not throws you would ask Flynn to make. The bottom line: Flynn is not a top-level passer.

Cosell sums up why I don't think Flynn is an option for the Browns; because his description of Flynn above is pretty much true for Colt McCoy.
The Browns could build the same offense around Flynn that they could with McCoy.

Well your loss our gain. When did this come out back when Flynn was coming out of college? I ask because there was a write up on Flynn that I read last night and I'm going to have to go hunting for it again. The writer had nothing but decent but fair things to say about Flynn. Made me want to take a chence on him, oh wait I'm biased I wanted the team to get him for a while now.

Makes sense if they think he can play. They can probably grab Blackmon at 4 and another quality guy with their other first round pick.
