JoeRedskin 12-29-2014, 02:17 PM So, on the RGIII / Gruden front: Insider Buzz: 'Skins Practice Incident Continues to Prove RG3 Is 'Uncoachable' | Bleacher Report (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2312720-insider-buzz-skins-practice-incident-continues-to-prove-rg3-is-uncoachable) If true, it is really disheartening. The crux of it is this: In practice last week, during 7 on 7 drills, the O is in shotgun formation with 3 WR's split right and 2 WR's split left. Before the play, Gruden comes out and talks to RGIII telling him to throw right as that is where his play will be 95% of the time. Apparently, when the play is then run, Griffin throws left to the 2 WR side and makes the wrong read leading to an interception in practice. Like I said, if true, that is really bad. The coach tells you where to throw, you ignore him, and make a bad play doing it you're way. If I'm Gruden, I just don't know what to say to that - other than a stream of expletives. KI Skins Fan 12-29-2014, 04:16 PM I mentioned Grant compared to ODB because their measurables where similar, of course one is a SEC player and the other is a mid-major. Grant has elite catching ability, his issue is speed. If we had not picked up Roberts and DJax, I think by having more playing time Grant would be a better player. Garcon and Morris are 6th rounders, so its possible. The Redskins knew Grant wasn't fast when they drafted him. There are other possession receivers playing in the league who are not fast, either. His problem is that he can be jammed at the LOS, knocked off his route, or outfought for the ball because he is not yet strong enough to succeed in the NFL. He needs to get stronger to play more. over the mountain 12-29-2014, 04:23 PM [QUOTE=JoeRedskin;1102121] Like I said, if true, that is really bad. "petulant" isnt the right word but its the word that first comes to my mind. re grant - he is what he is imo. a 6th round project. hopefully he can develop into a reliable 4, at best a 3. Defensewins 12-29-2014, 04:57 PM So, on the RGIII / Gruden front: Insider Buzz: 'Skins Practice Incident Continues to Prove RG3 Is 'Uncoachable' | Bleacher Report (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2312720-insider-buzz-skins-practice-incident-continues-to-prove-rg3-is-uncoachable) During the game on Sunday I noticed Griffin angry and yelling at the sideline like a petulant child after HE made a really bad read & throw. Gruden from the sidelines pointed to where Griffin was supposed to throw it and Griffin blew up mad. I really believe now that RGIII plays to the cameras and does not like to be told his mistakes when he is on the field because the cameras are rolling, as it was 2nd down. What will it take for him to be more accepting to being coached and the fact that he is not great? After the game I read this article and I was more frustrated with Griffin. During the game after the 5 yard dink pass he completed to DJax for the long TD that was created by Trent's block and DJax speed....after the TD Griffin stood on the field pointing to the sky and playing to the cameras. Then rather then celebrating with his teammates he looked all around at all of the TV cameras to see which one was pointed at him. I really do not want a QB like that. That shit has to change fast or he can pack his shit go somewhere else. Bishop Hammer 01-18-2015, 10:08 PM Lets face it both guys are on shaky ground. If they don't get their stuff together next year will be their last in Was. Skins4L 01-19-2015, 04:07 AM Rgs the best choice to develop we have on roster. Lol i cant believe were still on this. We dont want a qb this draft in the rebuild phase. I repeat we dont want to draft a qb this year in the rebuild phase. Everyones in a rush to win calm down were not winning a sb anytime soon with the problems across the board. You say qb? Your narrow sighted i see Oline, safety, and still dont have a dominant player in the phases i didnt mention. Gruden rg3..... Just.... Stop. Think beside them! Skins4L 01-19-2015, 04:12 AM Lets face it both guys are on shaky ground. If they don't get their stuff together next year will be their last in Was. Whats get their stuff together? Win a sb? Bahahaha its so much more than rg3. Any one of those final 4 teams would have scored all over out defense. I want defense. Defense. Wilson threw 4 picks, rodgers threw 2 picks... Vs redskins.. Both throw no picks and we get sidewinded Bishop Hammer 01-19-2015, 08:24 AM Whats get their stuff together? Win a sb? Bahahaha its so much more than rg3. Both throw no picks and we get sidewinded I never mentioned anything about a Superbowl. Basically get some consistency; Griffin needs to read defenses; hit open recievers things a third year NFL QB shoukd know now. Gruden make better game plans; prepare his players; utilize the run game; understand defense is an important factor for winning football games. Right now I'm just worried about The Skins putting together a winning streak at some point during Grudens tenure. Heck I don't even see playoffs in the near future. davy 01-29-2015, 06:30 PM Redskins’ RGIII says he wasn’t healthy last season and ‘it sucked’ - The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/dc-sports-bog/wp/2015/01/29/redskins-rgiii-says-he-wasnt-healthy-last-season-and-it-sucked/) “Last year I wasn’t healthy, and it sucked, so there’s no other way to say it other than that,” Griffin said. “When you dislocate your ankle in the second week of the season, when you and your team have big things in mind. It’s just getting healthy, getting the mental break getting a chance to spend time with family, and then formulate my plan going forward for this year and we can go out there and win games and be playing at this time next year.” “And that didn’t happen when I got back out there, and coach made a decision. And that’s an unfortunate decision, and something we all had to go with because that was coach’s choice." "I think it just comes with the organizational support that [Brady and Wilson] have as well to be the players that they are, to understand that this is our guy no matter what. I think the [NFC Championship] game with the Packers shows that more than anything. When a guy goes out there and throws four interceptions and then leads them to a victory, I think that guy knows in the back of his head that his entire team has his back, and the entire organization has his back. And I think that’s important, and I think it’s been the same way for Tom Brady." Still not accepting any responsibilty for his own poor play. Injuries, coaches, organization but not RGIII. :puke: |
