terrorism is bad. land theft/oppression is also bad. There's a lot of nuance and history related to how this whole thing has played out since WWII (that's sorta pointless to go into on a football board), but the short of it is that neither side has been seriously interested in peace for a while. If the underlying causes aren't addressed, this shit will just continue on some version of repeat every few years (spoiler, they probably won't be addressed).

It probably will go on for the rest of this century and probably the next as well. That said I put this entirely on the Arabs. In 1948 there were 2 states and it was the Arabs that decided they wanted it all and chose war to get their way and never renounced the goal of Israels destruction. And they have been complaining ever since about the Israeli's being better at violence than them. You've seen the meme if the Israelis laid down their weapons they would be annihilated, if the Arabs did there would be peace. That actually is accurate.

These people are bigoted pieces of shit. I can’t believe 31 Americans died in a terrorist attack and people in this country are either supporting the killing of fellow citizens or trying to both sides as apologists for terrorist killing Americans. There isn’t any nuance
The people in Gaza overwhelmingly support Hamas through elections. When the news hit Palestine people of the terrorist attack, their reaction? Cheering and celebrating. Instead of condemning the attack, they celebrate it. Enough, the suffering in Gaza is due only to Hamas not Israel

Well, it is not a pleasant thought but the people in Gaza actually did pick Hamas and continue to support them. The Palestinians were raised to hate the Israelis, they just were. HAMAs manifests that hate which is why they are so popular in Gaza. Thing is an undefeated people (people who haven't surrendered/given up) who are at war will develop and nurture hate for their enemies (and the Palestinians think they are at war even when active fighting isn't occurring). As long as there is something that gives hope of eventual victory for the Palestinian cause they will not come to terms. The idea that no we're never getting all of Palestine back has to take root before this can be solved.
I believe the solution would be to peel off all the supporting outside States but we are a long way from that. The Saudi's and other Arabian Peninsula states recognizing Israel would be a big step in that direction which I think preventing that was the main strategic target of the HAMAS attack.

Not all but most. Hamas didn't steal the election that put them in power. It's not horseshit it is reality. The best way to address a situation is to accurately identify it and thinking the majority of Palestinians in Gaza don't support Hamas is misidentifying the reality on the ground.
