A little puzzled by the WH focus on Paycheck Protection Program as an analog to student loan forgiveness since the former was actually implemented through *legislation in Congress*.

I hear Republicans complaining about $20,000 in student debt forgiveness. Funny, I didn't hear those complaints when Trump declared bankruptcy 6 times & had $287 million in loans forgiven by big banks. The GOP l-o-v-e-s socialism for the rich, rugged individualism for the rest.

Two plead guilty to trafficking Ashley Biden's diary, property
Interesting, I had heard this story earlier in the year. So now that they have plead guilty, that concludes that the diary and it’s contents are in fact Ashley Biden’s and are legit?
Will this be covered up like the Hunter Biden laptop too? Which in fact is authentic and never a Russian propaganda?
I gotta admit wasn't paying attention to what was in the diary or even any part of the case for that matter. What was in the diary that caught the talking heads attention?

It’s not forgiveness…the money will be paid back by the middle/working class most likely in taxes hikes.
As someone who saw tax returns when underwriting years ago…this will certainly benefit folks earning up in the 4 maybe 3 percent of top income. Those folks know how to not show income for the tax man.

And Dems too. Problem is student loan forgiveness is the same type of action that caused education to get so expensive (Government money/loan guarantees flooding the system). It helps graduates with current loans but will accelerate costs for education, thus screwing current and future students.

Well it was found in a halfway house left behind when she was in recovery. Within the diary deals with her drug abuse and her sex addiction…but the supposed passages about taking showers when she was 13 with her dad and how that affected her.
Now, the NYT has said to have authenticated the dairy and now someone has been prosecuted which confirms the validity.
But if Joe Biden did shower with his 13 daughter which lead to her trauma…you think that’s a story worth reporting? It most likely will be covered up with the help the of the media…just like Hunter laptop…just like the sexual assault allegations against Biden during the campaign.
Would you expect the same treatment if this was the Trump family? Of course not because the media purposely corrupt as well as other institutions.
Why are we ok with bailing out businesses but bailing out the everyday person is frowned upon? Let’s stop with the mental gymnastics of trying to differentiate between PPP loans and student loans and why one is on and one isn’t. Everyone can benefit by catching a break now and then. If someone got $200k in free government money to keep their business afloat but is mad at someone getting $20k in student loan relief, that’s just the epitome of selfishness and being an overall shitty person. I know people that benefited from the PPP, and I know plenty that will benefit from the student loan forgiveness, including myself.

For one, COVID was a worldwide pandemic that was involuntary. I think lots of people supported a program that in theory helped the businesses that actually needed it the most, not the disaster that our government rolled out in this shitty PPP program, that let all these rich people take advantage. Once again, another thing that our government fucks up, but I should just be happy and keep sending in my money.
No one forced anyone to go to college and incur those debts. Don't want student loans, don't go to college, or go to a school you can actually afford. Or if you need loans because you want to go to college and its too expensive, pay back your own loan(s). It's not my or anyone else's responsibility to do so. I have my own financial burdens as a middle class fuck trying to get by.
There seems to be this argument that everyone against this student loan debt vote buying plan is also 100% for businesses taking advantage of other programs.
I'm not for either of them. Just another 300 to 500 billion dollars, ehhh, no big deal.
This country lives in fantasy land about money, deficits, and debt.

I'm not opposed to people getting help. Most of us need it from time to time. I would just like to see "them" address the underlying issues that got us here in the first place. I don't see that happening. What I see is more handouts right before an election.
Anyway, can I get a retro payment of $10k since I paid mine off already? Or am I ineligible because I made the necessary sacrifices to ensure I paid my bills on time, paying them off, and honoring my end of the contract?

Because some bailouts help and some don't. Student loan bailouts are actually a continuation of the proximate cause of education debt - easy access to government money driving up the cost of college. It helps those with current loans but hurts even more those that will be paying for college in the future.
