Unless the crack distorts my view as a driver I let cracks go that are unrepairable; factory seal is the best seal.
They are both small and below my line of sight. It's more just the principle. So I'm gonna leave em be. Someone said that there is some sort of gel you can put on small ones. Haven't looked into it yet tho.

In VA you have to fix them to pass inspection; in Maryland there is no yearly inspection. I have a crack at the top of windshield in the tinted visor. What’s the point? I could replace the windshield ($250) then drive five minutes from the shop and have it happen again.
Unless the state makes me or it’s in my line of vision it’s staying.

I've had about 5 windshields replaced in the last 10 years, if the crack stays below 2 inches or so and it's not in your direct line of sight you should be fine, but if it expands every state inspector will fail you in VA.
I'm fortunate, Nationwide considers windshield cracks no fault and they partner with Safelite so every time my shit cracks and it expands (which is literally 5/6 times, the one chip that didn't expand took another hit a month later that did expand) I call up Nationwide, they direct connect me to Safelite who does the job. Deductible is $100 but you only gotta pay it the first windshield replacement, they have a lifetime warranty on it so every replacement afterwards is free.

Yeah, you made that clear. If nobody makes you fix it, don't.
My post was more for the VA crowd here. They will make you fix it. Nothing worse than going to a state inspection with a small crack and the inspector fails you.

Is it a chip or a crack? Safelite can fix both if the're under a certain size and give you a guarantee .

Too big to repair, I checked already. Safelite was like it will spread, been two years hasn’t moved a inch more.

I dont think this rises to "grind my gears" category but I use yahoo as my homepage and scroll the news links. Every fucking day there are these paid-for ads disguised as articles ...
"Kylie Jenner Matched Her New Pink Hair to Her Bra and It's a Whole F*ckin Vibe"
https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/kylie-jenner-matched-her-pink-210100027.html
Right underneath that is an "article" titled .. "Kylie Jenner now has chocolate brown hair and people's reactions are off the scale".
This is clearly just her PR team writing fluff for Cosmo or Seventeen. I love how they fake hype it within the headline so we know how to react -- "off the scale" and "its a whole fucking vibe".
I assume they then pay Yahoo and other outlets to feature these ads disguised as articles.
-----------------
None of us want to be a part of this cycle. Article about Kim wowwing in a leopard suit, people comment "who fucking cares", article gets clicks, next day new article about Jenners hair color, people comment "who fucking cares", clicks, new day new article ..
what i am doing right now is also part of the Kardasian cycle ..people complaining about Kardashians is their MO.
sigh ... do another porn video or something

+1, that is the worst. I keep trying to find the perfect spot, do you put your plate/bowl more to the outer ring or do you center it in the middle? Haven't found the spot yet that works for the microwave at work.
