I appreciate that G1 but I already have a new mattress en route... Brooklyn Bedding honored their 10 year warranty and shipped a new firmer one out to me for free. No new warranty on it but original warranty with 5 years left still applies.

That's a sweet deal. MTK is right mattress's are through the roof but in our case it was a have too. The Mrs. had major scoliosis surgery years back that stretched her torso 3ins.Spent two months(summer) in bed and couldn't carry a gallon of milk for a year but never missed one day of teaching .

Yeah I hear ya, I did a lot of research when I bought the original 5 years ago because I know how important a good bed is - you spend a third of your life sleeping so obv. don't wanna cheap out on something like that. Even found a forum (http://themattressunderground.com) where they get super technical about in the ins and outs of buying a mattress (the jist is that Big Mattress is a scam lol).

Sorry to hear about your wife, that sounds like an absolute motherfucker to deal with. Is everything better now?

I priced out mattresses a while ago and you can basically get a nice used car for the price of a tempur-pedic. I have no doubt they are nice but $5k for a king? Get the F outta here.

To me there are two things you don't skimp on in life your mattress and your shoes. You spend to much time in both and bargain basement shoes and mattresses will jack you up long term. Every thing else I buy I will bargain hunt.

What grinds my gears? Pennsylvania. Rather Pennsylvania engineers. We were in York for a softball tournament last weekend on Saturday it rained. Coming back down I-83 there was a traffic jam because there was a foot of standing water on the road. This is an area with drainage and hills not a coastal area. Then the next day the games were at a different park and there are street signs on the road saying road floods when it rains. It is amazing people can get paid to not do their job correctly. I will gladly take an engineers salary to write reports saying put up signs as the solution.

Thanks. Manageable. It's something she was born with and wasn't bad at all when we got married but child birth and time accelerated the prosses .Take care of it or she becomes a crippled were the choice's .She does ok ,she does laugh when people complain about back problems,....LOL....I know better.

yes a mattress is definitely worth spending some money on, but there's some middle ground between bargains and $5k. At a certain point you're just paying for the name and marketing.

In some case's yes but all I will say is that it is a necessity for my wife .As I said before we actually got a prescription for the Bed from her surgeon and it was discounted about $500 but we were allowed to write off a portion .(not all).

There I was just cutting the grass with a self propelled Honda this morning…little did I know I just ran over a ground nest of yellow jackets. A first for me. Well, I didnt need that second cup of coffee cause that sting got me woke.
