I'm thinking Batman could come up with some gadgets to get the job done.

Aquaman could have saved the animals. Would have been a whole Justice League issue.

The only problem is nothing can be done. If you are digging one mile beneath teh sea, what can you do? Absolutely nothing. Somethings humans can't do. Pray. that's one rig, and it did all this damage that means digging down there is really really dangerous to the environment.
From what I have read it seems that all the reasearch has gone into drilling these things but no research has gone into stopping a leak and safty. We can come up with a way to cap these things its just the money (the oil companies money) has not been used to do so and the goverment has not forced them to do the research. If the gov. said the only way you can drill is to come up with a safty devise to shut them down and a back up syetem if the first one fails the oil companies would find ways to shut them down. What has happened is the oil companies have thrown money around to both parties and they have turned a blind eye.

Last week i was on vacation and i was piss drunk and could only find MSNBC on the cable we had. I ended up watching some of Maddow.....

So i found myself completely agreeing with her. She was talking about how since Exxon Valdese the clean up measures have not improved at all. I think its been 20+ years and they still clean oil spills up the same way. They showed the booms not really working and being held in place w. bamboo. This is America, we shouldnt use bamboo for anything but furniture, office plants, and pissing off neighbors. I only watched about 30 mins but i didnt despise her as i passed out. I felt a little funny the next day kind of like I just slept with a ugly chick, but had that “well at least I wrapped up” feeling.

Why do Obama, BP refuse to use most effective method of oil cleanup? (http://www.examiner.com/x-37620-Conservative-Examiner~y2010m6d5-Why-do-Obama-BP-refuse-to-use-most-effective-method-of-oil-cleanup)

Here is a lame explaination of why they are not using oil tankers.
Allen Explains Why Oil-Sucking Tankers Aren’t Being Used - Political Punch (http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2010/06/allen-explains-why-oilsucking-tankers-arent-being-used.html)

After a 1993 oil spill in the Persian Gulf, empty oil tankers were used to reclaim oil from the water’s surface. In my “This Week” interview, I asked Admiral Thad Allen why those techniques are not being used in the Gulf of Mexico, and he explained:
“We’ve actually talked to those folks. There are a couple of issues with that. Number one, the tankers actually have to be modified. They are not ready to go right now. Number two, we don’t know what those modifications will do to the stability of the vessels and how they operate and number thee, the area of operations is very, very different. We’ve got anywhere from 20 to 30 vessels within one square mile over the top of that well at any particular time, managing remotely operating vehicles, doing the drilling of the relief well and so forth, so I’m not sure it’s the right application of that right now.”

1: why not have someone finding out what it will takes to get them modified.
2: If your worried about stability you could just ask the people who used the tankers in another oil spill dumb ass.

Also if he talked to those people as he said he did couldn't they have answered those questions.

When you have something as valuable as the Gulf is to America you do not put it in harm's way. I repeat, you do not put it in harm's way. Forget the oil. The people are crying so much that makes it obvious there should be no more drilling in the gulf. That's one well that did all this damage.

So now Obama is trying to act like he is doing something. Hey, Obama its 50 days late. So now we are accepting the help from others that was offered over 50 day ago. Wow what a leader we have here. He has no clue what to do or how to lead. I guess tomorrow night he will have some fancy speech about how he is going to get BP working on this mess or else. It would not surprise me one bit if he does not say in some form about taking over BP. Maybe he can talk about kicking some ass when its his dumb ass that needs kicking. Oh and we know the old blame George Bush is also coming tomorrow night.
