I have no idea what they are trying to accomplish in regard to Kirk's contract. It's as if the Skins slipped off the river bank and fell in the river up to their necks and then decided to walk toward the middle of the river to see if it got any shallower out there.
SF says they are "open for business" to trade the second pick in the draft. We should petition the Skins management to put us out of our misery by trading Kirk to SF in a deal that includes the #2 pick. They are already dangerously close to losing Kirk after next season anyway.

SF69 has a point here. How much do they need to see before they know if he's the guy? Does he have to win a SB first? There's no doubt he's the best QB we've had in a long time. Other than Roberts first year. Unless you're sure you're gonna get someone as good as him in the next 4 years freakin' get it done. We've already spent more than we needed to with this Tag shit. This makes it look like they're really complete idiots when it comes to evaluating a player. Is he as good as Peyton? I seriously doubt it. But can he help us win a SB? I like his chances better than anyone we've had in years. If they were still doubting me after the numbers he's put up the last 2-3 years I' wouldn't want to be there either. Fix the fxxxking defense!
This is why I keep bringing up the example of Von Miller and Denver.
After his SB MVP performance, you'd think that it was a no-brainer for Denver to sign Von Miller to a long term deal. Miller was the best player at his position, had basically won Denver a Super Bowl, and he was in his prime at the time he was tagged. Yet the contract negotiations went through a lot of drama and back-and-forth between the team and Miller's agent.
I am concerned that the team is going to botch this and not make a deal. Personally, I feel that the team is being too careful in not spending money.
However, I am not surprised that the deal is not done and I don't expect the deal to get done until July. Kirk's agent or the Redskins have no reason to budge on each other's demand.

I have never seen a starting NFL QB sign two franchise tags before. Never..
Bad business...should have listened to McC and signed him last year. Would be sitting pretty. Snyder is incompetent with a long track record
I seem to remember plenty of people being ok with tagging him last year.

YeAh but Matty the second one is definitely different. Especially after we were backing up the briggs truck to his door step during the season. I hope to hell they reach a long term deal but my gut tells me he is gone after this year. Fuck u gut. Lol

I'm not talking about the 2nd one. Just talking about the second guessing of the first one.

U wouldn't have signed kc long term already? I would have. And i am running the Skins telepathically.
Be careful; if you're having mind melds with Danny or Smithers you're liable to end up losing football I.Q. points.
