FlyerSkin 07-13-2017, 03:07 PM He said the same thing in April.
When he said Cousins will be traded before the draft.
True, I forgot about that! Plus it is
NFL.com. I just hope that the deal is somewhat cap friendly or we will be always replacing quality guys.
Chief X_Phackter 07-13-2017, 03:59 PM He won't sign a long term deal with the Redskins, this year or next year. He's doing just fine on these one year deals, and has more to gain if he plays the season out on the FT, and then play the game again next year. I'm not real sure his current or past comments really matter; his nature is to be positive and not rock the boat. And everyone else outside of Cousins, his Agent, and the FO who are commenting on the situation is just guessing. It's not getting done, and if I were him, I'd be completely fine with that.

The major incentive the Skins can offer is injury guarantees, and I would not be shocked to see a hefty injury guarantee amount in any deal that gets done.
Schneed10 07-13-2017, 04:57 PM As crazy as it sounds, it's still too early to guess what will happen. The Skins were never going to show their cards before this weekend. Either the offer will go up this weekend, or all hell breaks loose in fandom on Monday. It's still too early to know.
Skinsfanatic 07-13-2017, 05:49 PM No way will it be under 65 guaranteed.
My thought was that it would be something creative to make up for the fact that he is guaranteed so much in the first two years if we tag him again. Something like 62.5, but set up in a way where he gets it all in the first two years.
NC_Skins 07-13-2017, 09:21 PM No, just stating the fact that Snyder was pulling a lot of those strings back then.
Back then? He still is.
skinsfaninok 07-13-2017, 09:37 PM i dont even care anymore, If he stays great if not whatever.

That's where I am. And ill just have to watch all games on mute with country music playing so don't have to hear about it every game

If a deal doesn't get done, our #1 pick next draft better be a QB! Colt isn't a guy to go 16 games, and Sudfeld is a career third stringer at best.

One thing though: we all act as if we're 100% sure KC's gone if they don't sign him before Monday...
But maybe the Skins actually are ready to use the transition tag next year, and match any offer that would be made...
That would be pretty stupid, but they could be considering it a way to be sure they don't overpay him, because the price would be set by other teams...
I say that while being pretty confident a deal will get done, just trying to have a little more moderate view of the situation.
...
BUT PLEAAAAASE SIIIIGN HIIIIM !!! AAARRRG !
