Saw a Charley Casserly video where he explained how an agent would probably negotiate a long-term deal for a player in Kirk's situation. First of all, the agent would tell Skins Management to forget about the $24M for 2017 because Kirk is already guaranteed that money. Then he would probably offer the Skins an additional 5 years at $23M per year with half of that amount guaranteed. The additional 5 years would therefore add up to $115M with $57.5M guaranteed. If all 6 years are wrapped into the same contract, then the total would be $139M with $81.5M guaranteed. These numbers are staggering, if not ridiculous.

I just sort of feel like this is going to just go on and on and on until Cousins is allowed to test the market.

And inevitably signs with another team, thus making it 25+ years since we have had a franchise qb for the forseeable future. If they don't resign Kirk I want a gd firesale. Burn the bitch down.

Last minute posturing, calm down kidsHowever the last minute posturing has been the posture during this entire 'negotiation'.
I'm tired of hearing about the crying.....just show me the baby......and if the July deadline comes without a longterm deal........I'm gonna have a freakin stroke
