Please, not Commanders! That sounds like a yachting team composed of gin swilling buddies of Snyder.

And lose that W already. It looks like this one:

https://www.wm.com/

Or this one:

https://www.windownation.com/

And even this one:

https://www.winnebago.com/

REDsomethingorother with the scripted R or the Lombardi R. Cool and Continuity work well together.

The RED Is most likely done.. we need to accept that and move on.. The W is actually really clean , as is the G for GB or C for Chicago.. The Cowboys star is used all over the place as well.. Commanders isn't a terrible name, it's better than just WFT

I almost don't care about the name, just as long as it stops commentators saying the whole name just to emphasise its a temporary name/crap. It's well beyond tiresome now.

Commanders.

Start getting used to it now and when it's formally announced you won't be surprised.

The Navy always comes to mind when I hear the word Commander.

It isn't in my top group of choices, but I'd also be OK with it.

And all military services have Commanders at all levels. They are ultimately responsible for the accomplishment of their respective unit's assigned tasks and missions. Could be as low on the totem pole as a Tank Commander, to as high as the "Commander in Chief".

It's a dumb name for a football team though IMO.

Sounds like an arena/USFL team name, dumb. Might as well name them the generals. Maybe the dead Kennedy’s.

Once the newness wears off, it will be just like any other name. In a vacuum plenty of other names aren't that great when you think about it.
