Come up with a new name for the Redskins

It's going to be Warriors, like we've said all along it's the easiest transition

Seems so, I'd had been on board with that had it allowed to keep a reference to NA. Without that it's so generic. Diet Coke Redskins like.

Redskins is still the best name and our logo is one of the best in all of sports, now that is all erased. I'm basically checked out man.

What a bullshit reason to jump ship! Snyder didn't want to change the name. He fought the name change as long as he could. Now he is being forced to change the name by unavoidable circumstances beyond his control.

The good news is that we'll be keeping our beloved B&G colors. That means a lot to me.

I feel like skinsfaninok - seeing the team change its name is a lot to process mentally.

It just doesn't feel the same, thinking about whatever the name is, Redtails, redhawks, redwolves, redspears, redSHITS, whatever it is it is just sad IMO that today's cancel culture has brought about this.

I guess i just need to give this a chance to see if i can get behind it. If i can't, then i'm probably done as a fan of this team. I, like a lot of people, have been considering my fandom the last couple of seasons as thing with Snyder has gotten worse and worse, we went through the Bruce Allen debacle, now this, it just seems like things are getting worse and worse. But i am going to do my best to see if I can get behind this new start.

I'm sorry if I was all negative and dramatic yesterday but the Redskins were my childhood , football in general down south saved many of us in our certain situations.

Redwolves is ok but it's also the name of Arkansas state football...

I guess I will have to really think about it and losing the skins still doesn't seem real to me.. Crazy what a Football team can do to you

It’s devastating and my worst sports nightmare. As foR the alternatives...Warriors is the best but only if we can use some variation of the spear helmet and have some subtle references to NA. Otherwise I’d probably go with Redwolves but not as enthusiastically as others. Just please no dumb Washington DC political red white and blue nonsense.

Fred Smoot says it's going to be Redwolves , Lake Lewis told me "Warriors is his guess but Redwolves has a legit chance as well"

Pretty good read it is an opinion piece but a lot of his fears resonate with me in regards to the rush job we are seeing. Snyder knew this day was inevitable and yet unprepared.

I hope they announce they’re dropping Redskins and will just go by Washington for one season while this process plays out properly.
