Come up with a new name for the Redskins

Yeah but how much did he believe he would be at this point? I don’t think he has too much time, money, or thought invested in that name. Not that I am totally discounting it. I actually think it will be Warriors or Red Tails, but I think DS can go in a lot of directions just as easily as he can go Warriors.

With the limited time he has, It's gotta be Warriors IMO. I'm fine with the "red" options too but I Just don't know if they can come up with logo's and jerseys that quick

I would prefer DS doesn’t rush this and get it right. If he is not sold on a name just drop it for the year, Washington FC, and properly vet a name.

I love it!! I flew the A-10 WARTHOG for 17 years. The really cool thing is that the 104 Fighter Squadron, Md ANG is at Glen Martin Field, Maryland. They’ve done flyovers for the team. It a great military connection as the unit has deployed for combat tours 4-7 months at least six times and maybe more.

Go with a plane that been there over 5 wars starting with Desert Storm (1991). Picking a plane gets us out of political decisions with NA and just honors a plane that is there for our soldiers and Marines. This is real picture of my last flight. Right after this I got out and was hosed down with a fire hose, which is the tradition for your FINI FLIGHT (actual name of it). Almost every current or recent WARTHOG pilot has flown at least some combat missions saving our Soldiers and Marines. And they’re still doing it!!

I also like the REDTAIL - it was in WWII, a storied fighter unit the flew the P-40, P-47 and finally the P-51 MUSTANG. A great tale that helped propel our nation even after the war.

Personally I think that Snyder will choose
WARRIOR. He owns the name, it can be construed as a support the military and it’s pretty generic.

Im cool with Warriors. My wife teaches at a school and the name is the Washington Street Warriors. Their logo is the same as the Skins guy. She is not a big football fan, but pumped about them adopting her school’s nickname. Might buy me some extra football time on Sundays lol

Is that even possible? Think about the rebranding it would take ? If his minority owners have a problem with it would they or whomever buys in expect the name Redskins to be completely removed from everywhere? In other words it might be too heavy a cost to rebrand twice. I dont see an interim team name as a feasible solution.

At this point, sure change the name. So I can honestly say the Redskins died and feel better rooting for the Chiefs. Not because of their name, but Patrick Mahomes. When they have to change their name, we'll see.
