Come up with a new name for the Redskins

I hope they announce they’re dropping Redskins and will just go by Washington for one season while this process plays out properly.

I had read that the other owners have to sign off on the name as well.. I'm not sure how legit that is

I think we all hate the circumstances. I hope it is Redwolves for the simple reason it is an animal, we can keep same color scheme and I don't think any other professional sports team is called Redwolves. Coming up with a logo should not be that difficult. Could go with the name for a year until the make a logo they really like There are some colleges that changed to from Redskins to Redwolves...

if it is the Warriors can still keep the same color scheme. The spear logo would be cool with this but slight chance of the liberals complaining about that also......

And call me silly or bitter - if the liberals don't want a native american name or theme I'd rather have a clean break from it.

I think that is an error too. I think the league has to approve the name. I also hope they drop the name, play as Washington football and wait and do their due diligence.

Correct, the other owners do not vote on the name. Just has to be approved by the league office/commissioner. Although the owners vote for the commissioner to represent them, so in that regards they did vote already.

A Redskins fan should know FSU uses our spear.

Pretty good read it is an opinion piece but a lot of his fears resonate with me in regards to the rush job we are seeing. Snyder knew this day was inevitable and yet unprepared.

How do yout know Dan wasn't prepared for this day? Maybe the quick turnaround is because he had a plan to execute ? He's been fighting this battle for decades and had to realize eventually he might lose it.
