Someone that is about about to be filthy rich in a matter of weeks/months. He's our QB. Get use to liking that for the next 5-10 years.

CRedskinsRule 12-21-2015, 02:46 PM One stat puts Cousins ahead of Brady, Manning, Brees, others | CSN Mid-Atlantic (http://www.csnmidatlantic.com/redskinsblog/one-stat-puts-cousins-ahead-brady-manning-brees-others?p=ya5nbcs&ocid=yahoo) I like Cousins potential because he doesn't take a lot of sacks, so he doesn't get hurt much. BUT, all the positive press and crazy stats makes me worry(in a Redskins fan paranoia way) that the season is a bit fluky, and we will see regression next year - assuming we don't bungle the extension/resigning of him. from the article: But nobody quite realized that Cousins’ home season was history in the making. The NFL revealed today that no quarterback in league history with a minimum of 100 pass attempts at home has had a higher completion percentage than Cousins’ mark of 74.7. Not Brady in Foxborough, not Manning in the dome in Indy, not Brees in the Superdome, not Marino at the Orange Bowl. DYoungJelly 12-21-2015, 02:56 PM Gruden and McVay really opened up the offense yesterday. Had a lot of longer routes than usual, seem like Jordan was split out more than usual, longer developing plays etc. You could see the emphasis to get D Jax more touches, I like that. Seems like more layers were added in the passing attack which just shows more faith in Cousins. Totally agree. That's what makes the Dallas game so baffling. I'm a Gruden supporter, but I'm still not over Dallas. WRSK1NS 12-21-2015, 03:04 PM Where are you reading hating and not believing?? I've seen several recants on here. Actually I'd like RG3's rushing TD record to stand as a testament to his true skills. I'ld love to see RG3 remembered positively for what he did do and released, and for KC to take the reins going forward - which he definitely has done this season. I was behind on reading the thread (because of the birth of my child) but up until before Sundays game some people still calling for RG3 snd/or saying he is a superior QB. 2012 was a magical year and I will always remember Griff for that but I can't keep living in the past. If Kirk breaks Griffs record, we can finally maybe put all the comparisons behind and just roll into the future. I just want to win! punch it in 12-21-2015, 03:09 PM It's never about who was right or wrong, according to those who were wrong. We still have people here who seem to want Kirk to get down on his knees and **** them before they'll admit that he can play. They're just keeping quiet for now. Was going to bold the same thing and say "sure it is". Lol. Dude is playing at an elite level over a period of a few weeks. This all on a team who is rebuilding and also during a "code red" stretch. Pressure on. We keep saying this is what he has the potential to be. Than he exceeds those expectations. Than we go "well he maybe is more than just the best qb available. So lets try n project his future instead of just reporting the obvious. So here goes. This guy is going to be a top 5 type qb some day. Boom. HTTR! Chico23231 12-21-2015, 03:21 PM I just don't think this is about all Cousins, I think its really about Gruden, McVay and Cousins. Cousins isn't an elite, top 5, carry everything on his shoulders type QB...they are super rare. But the Skins did get a taste of that "eliteness" with RG3...everything was there. Big plays, armstrength, make every throw, win big games, vocal, says all the right things, leader, etc. So as a fanbase, we all thought we had this finally!!! Reality set in the previous 2 years, so even with Cousins doing all this...I still know he has limitations. With that being said, Gruden is brought in as QB/Offensive Guru so its his responsibility to get this thing together. McVay still has a lot to prove as a O Coordinator. So I think we can say Cousins, Gruden and McVay have all made stride this year. Lets continue to build, but lets stay a little medium with this. rocnrik 12-21-2015, 04:13 PM The guy is breaking all kinds of Redskins records and his stats are through the roof and people still hating and not believing??!! Hope he breaks RG3's rushing TD record too. Some folks are not really redskin fans ..they just like to show up and spoil the party for everybody else..if you are not onboard at this point about Cousins you are a closet Cowboys fan and just can't come to grips with the bright future of the SKINS!! punch it in 12-21-2015, 04:52 PM I just don't think this is about all Cousins, I think its really about Gruden, McVay and Cousins. Maybe he had limitations. Im sick of that crap. Ya dont have to be flashy to be great ya just gotta be great. Ive seen Cousins carry this team plenty this year. Plenty enough to know that he can do it again n again. NoCalHail 12-21-2015, 05:10 PM I agree with whoever mentioned Jordan Reed being split out more yesterday. I am used to seeing him run those 5-7 yard routes where he usually gets contact at the point of catch and fights for the first down. Not sure if McVay saw a weakness in Buffalo's secondary specifically or they just decided the time was right, but Reed was all over the place getting open. He is such a mis-match for any defense that wants to play safties due to be worried about Jackson over the top. Reed was simply running down middle of the field, baiting a safety into coming up to cover, and just juked them. Wide open. punch it in 12-21-2015, 05:37 PM Imagine where KC would rank if he did not have "limitations " http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/12/21/238664b4f33a52f65bfe50c34edf472e.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/12/21/66fda4f5bf292c00730e9b77d24cfa06.jpg |
