For what it's worth.

Cousins is in pretty decent company.

In watching Cousins I don't really care what some analytics say about his play or what company that puts him in. Please everyone stop comparing him to other QBs especially Manning and Farve. Your argument doesn't hold water. My eyes tell me he has made some strides this year in the mental aspect of his game after he makes mistakes. But what they also tell me is that he has yet to put together back to back good games, he has yet to play a good game on the road and he his good games are in the middle of multiple bad games. BOTTTOM LINE the jury is still well out on him and until consistent play is accomplished I don't feel he is the future.

You are entitled to your opinion.

The good thing is we have a competent GM that will make the call on Kirk Cousins. Luckily no one on this website will have a say.

My eyes are seeing the exact same thing.

Not looking for him to be flawless, just looking for the good games to be about a 2:1 ratio of good games to the bad ones. Consistently.

And signing him to an extension is risky, given his inconsistency.

Lets look around the league and the upcoming college class of QB......not alot there.

Like someone said, McC isnt gonna press and feel rushed to overpay or overdraft a QB. The only real option is to be patient with Cousins and hope he can develop and at the same time hope someone emerges as a good college QB prospect that McC recognizes as draftable. In the mean time, let McC continue to build the team in other areas.

I agree with this. Also think SM knows that getting the right qb isn't an easy task, and imagine a competent GM (ie SM) would be looking at plans and options in order to find a few good options. I think one of those would be resigning KC to a mid tier contract something like Matt Flynn's in Seattle, and bringing in a college qb SM and his staff like.

it depends on the price, mediocre QBs in the NFL get $$$$$

This is the only option. Unless they can trade for matt stafford or similar QB, they have to bring KC back and possibly draft a young QB.
