I am fiscally and socially conservative (I'm against cheating on your wife with disgusting people like Stormy Daniels). I'm for the constitution and limited government. My favorite amendment is the 10th and I wish it was used more. Get the federal government out of state issues. I support a flat tax with no taxes paid on the first 25K for all filers or 50k for joint filers (or an amount around this number). I think a President's main priorities are national defense and a strong economy and generally support Trump's policies. Political correctness is not a priority to me, but damn if I don't wish Trump would not respond to every fucking tweet about him. Tough skin is part of the job, take a little STFU pill from time to time. Pretty much everything discussed in this thread, my take on it, is probably covered by this post. HTTR! Murica'!!
I gotta ask, being socially conservative - where do you stand on recreational marijuana.
I could self identify very similarly to what you laid out, though more socially libertarian. Basically the federal government should have a very very limited role in the lives of the individual. State governments should have far more say over there policies, without the threat of interstate commerce penalties hanging over there heads, and the 10th amendment like you said is a very important amendment and should be mandatory for every person trying to win a seat in the House of Representatives to explain the concept of LIMITED federal powers.

Its a state issue to me. Federal government shouldn't be involved in it. Personally I'm in favor of legalizing it and taxing it. I'm in California where it's legal now. Pot isn't my thing but if that's someone's jam, have at it.

#facepalm
Trump's approval rating is at around 44-46% SO unless you are saying that 40+% of the population is white misogynistic racists, it is you who don't like things that don't fit your narrative.
No, I don't think anyone can say what % are truly racist and/or misogynistic, BUT, it's not enough of an issue for them to care. Not sure that's saying anything better about the situation though really. Hey, go economy!

I don't think my IQ is high enough to ascertain what percentage of his supporters are racist or misogynistic.
But I do believe no matter what he says or does, as long as he keeps making trade deals his base will be happy.
Cred, you prove my exact point with the "pruning the hedges" analogy. In your mind, less gov't interference in people's lives is the ideal goal. It's not the people that I want the federal gov't to regulate, it's businesses (which have 1 goal that sits paramount to every decision they make). How many businesses give two shits what negative effects they have on people's lives, or the long term sustainability of the planet, at the expense of profit? Not many.
Chico, every day we see Trump say some dumb shit, and every day it gets perpetually ignored by his base in favor of the "great" things he's done. That's why I believe as long as the economy does well, he can do no wrong in the eyes of his supporters.
When the immigration bs popped off, the argument was "well illegal immigration is bad, why can't immigrants come the legal route?" Now he's going after legal immigration too (https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/immigration/now-trump-administration-wants-limit-citizenship-legal-immigrants-n897931) so what's the new argument? Legal, illegal, it doesn't matter. He doesn't like minorities. Shithole countries? Muslim ban? Latin Americans aren't sending their best? Do we gotta wait to hear a recording of him saying some heinous shit about minorities before you believe he might be a tad bit racist? He's taking a page out of the highly effective alt-right playbook. "We're not anti-minority, we're pro-white." The fact he refuses to directly confront the alt-right is because he knows every vote counts, even the racist vote. The last politician to embrace the white supremacy endorsement tried to take over Europe.
The misogynistic argument is the one where he doesn't value women who aren't good looking. How many ugly women does he have working directly for him? It's not a secret, he shits on his female opponents (https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-implies-new-accuser-was-too-ugly-to-kiss) by discussing their looks (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/lists/trump-sexist-timeline-insults-attacks-women-appearances-1018198/item/trump-women-attacks-march-23-2016-heidi-cruz-1018376). Do I even need to mention grabbing them by the pussy (https://youtu.be/FSC8Q-kR44o)?
But hey, man got that trade deal with Mexico, it's like all he does is win!

That is bad rhetoric. I agree. We have enough actual violence in this country against each other. No one should throw words around like that loosely.
He could have made his point about supporting Christian causes without using the words he did.
Antifa does have way too much violence per capita in their membership, but they are a very small percentage of the actual group of the overall people he is talking about.
He is just not good at making his arguments/points/etc. w/o using terms he or anyone else has any business using.
