Is it a good thing to have a SC stacked in either direction? To me that idea is a little scary.
It's beyond scary,it's dangerous.

But also remember swing votes in the supreme court ..which recently departed Kennedy had been label...historically have been described as conservatives. O’Conner, Kennedy, Stewart, etc. And I think many would agree since the 60s the court has removed a lot of barriers and made “progress”. So the fear mongering and hyperbole is ridiculous...typical media sensationalism that some eat up. We are gonna be fine and don’t expect major role back of legislation. Sure, you could see nuances with some state laws...but folks need to the pump the brakes on repeating some of this garbage being thrown around. Trump himself did not back down from the idea of Roe v Wade being rolled back, what else are we supposed to think? Is he spreading his own fake news? Chico23231 07-03-2018, 09:54 PM Trump himself did not back down from the idea of Roe v Wade being rolled back, what else are we supposed to think? Is he spreading his own fake news? He is appeasing the religious right...they have to get a bone too. It’s talk to say “hey I tried”... But roe v wade is woven in...ain’t getting rolled back. I could definitely see some challengings with some state laws. “Hey I tried” ...blame it on so and so...these are typical pages from the playbook.. This is a thing you dont even try to do. You simply dismiss non like minded people as cultists, which is a very offensive term. Maybe the republican congress should stop spending so much money. Giantone 07-03-2018, 10:38 PM Its not a puppet when you can discuss with rational thought. This is a thing you dont even try to do. You simply dismiss non like minded people as cultists, which is a very offensive term. Here we go, I dismiss? No,no more than you do. That is what is so hard for you to understand you are exactly what it is you disdain and you just can't see it.To me when you follow blindly like the trump cult does thee is no other word for it but puppet, you know like trump is for putin. To you a rational thought is anyone that agrees with you yet your post's prove other wise. CRedskinsRule 07-03-2018, 11:01 PM Here we go, I dismiss? No,no more than you do. To you a rational thought is anyone that agrees with you yet your post's prove other wise. I really prefer not to dismiss you, in fact i asked you to offer proof of your claim, but you dont even try. So we end up speaking past each other at this point, and at this point there is no need to really continue the divergence. I have posted links about critical thinking skills because of conversations similar to this with you before. I found it to be one of the best college classes i ever took and recommend similar studies to everyone. A good discussion doesnt mean we all agree in fact its better if we disagree and discuss points and counterpoints, looking at and actually debating the issues and their merits. mooby 07-04-2018, 01:59 AM And still it's a bunch of hot air about Russia. Vladimir Putin, head of KGB, has been working to influence US elections since Walter Mondale sucked up to the Russians. I give a rat's ass if Trump talked or didn't talk to them. If Putin thought Trump was going to win, he would have focused more efforts to help HRC. That's just what enemy countries do. The dems and libs are going to have a meltdown when the republicans win bigly this election, and Trump appoints a 3rd constitutional justice making the balance 6 to 3. It would be funny if it weren't depressing to here them scream russia russia russia like little girls. I really can't believe you're still stuck on Putin's trying to influence the election. That's old news now. Everybody not named Trump or House Republicans agree he did. Bear with me for a moment because I know this is nothing more than a mere concept to us non-Mueller investigators. But what if the real concern isn't Putin doing whatever he can to get Trump elected, but Trump's loans from Deutsche Bank coming from illegal money laundering out of Russia? What if Trump owed Russian oligarchs connected to Putin money? You don't think owing debt to any Putin-connected Russian would be a serious conflict of interest as POTUS? Seriously, ignore my theory if you must as I have nothing to back it up, but it's just starting to sound like you're tired of hearing Russia mentioned so you couldn't care less what they do, or who they did it with, or if there's any actual legit crimes there. Have you started thinking up an excuse for if/when Mueller completes the investigation and makes his recommendation to Congress? If you've ever watched any of those reality crime shows, it's a classic technique. Start at the bottom and keep flipping guys until you reach the guy at the top. Cohen is next. And as Trump's fixer, there really aren't that many guys left to flip. | |
